HYS: Should Jose Mourinho drop Jesse Lingard vs Arsenal?

At times, this season has felt like a career-defining one for Jesse Lingard.

The England international has enjoyed special moments in a Manchester United jersey before, but with more illustrious names struggling to deliver he’s often been the one to rise to the occasion this term – to score or set up the goals that get the Red Devils over the line.

But Lingard remains somewhat expendable, especially now that Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba are beginning to enjoy good form after an underwhelming start to 2018.

That has seen Lingard move from a more central role to the right wing in recent weeks, but he’s struggled to have the same impact from out wide – the only real exception being an assist against Bournemouth.

And with a Premier League clash against Arsenal on the horizon, Jose Mourinho is left facing a key decision. He’s obviously a big fan of Lingard’s, but Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial represent more than ample alternatives who are arguably better suited to the right wing berth.

So, United fans, would you drop Lingard, who Transfermarkt value at £22.5million, against the Gunners? Let us know by voting below…
