HYS: Should Man United stick with three at the back vs Man City?

We’re 15 games into the new season and no side has found a way of beating Manchester City. They’ve ripped apart practically every team they’ve come up against, regardless of the quality of the opposition or the tactics they use.

But if there’s one manager who will fancy his chances of out-thinking Pep Guardiola, it’s Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese has duelled with the Spaniard countless times before and there’s an almost poetic polarisation of their philosophical beliefs – representing opposite ends of the same spectrum.

Perhaps the biggest question Mourinho faces, however, is which formation he should use in Sunday’s Manchester derby. This United team were seemingly built to be a 4-2-3-1 side, but they’ve used three at the back increasingly in recent weeks and it’s had the desired effect on the most part.

In fact, from the six games Mourinho’s deployed a three-man defence in this season, five have resulted in wins for the Red Devils. So, United fans, how would you set up Mourinho’s side in Sunday’s Manchester derby? Let us know by voting below…
