Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will have been delighted that his side qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League with their 1-0 win over Napoli on Tuesday evening, but it could have been so much more comfortable for the Reds at Anfield.

The home side needed to win either 1-0 or by two clear goals if Napoli got on the scoresheet, and between Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, among others, they missed a hatful of chances in both halves that would have put their qualification beyond doubt.

Liverpool had 22 shots in the game compared to Napoli's eight, but only four were on target for Jurgen Klopp's side.

Mane, who returned to the starting line-up after missing the last two games through injury, was particularly guilty of wasting gilt-edged chances. In the second-half, the 26-year-old should have turned in cutbacks from both Andy Robertson and Salah before he missed a simple one-vs-one in stoppage time.

The Reds can be sure that the chances won't be as frequent against Jose Mourinho's Manchester United on Sunday, and Klopp should drop Mane and replace him with Xherdan Shaqiri in the front three.

So, Liverpool fans, should Mane be dropped on Sunday? Have your say by voting in the poll below.
