Chelsea’s defence must be ready for one of the sternest tests they’ll face all season when they host Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Blues’ backline has not shone in recent weeks, with poor showings against Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves having cost Maurizio Sarri’s side their first two Premier League defeats of the season, and his reign, so far.

Olivier Giroud is set for a starring role in the new Spiderman and it's easy to see why! Check out the video below to find out more...

Against Spurs, David Luiz in particular had an absolute nightmare. However, on his day, the Brazilian is one of the finest defenders in the league, and therefore ought to be brought back into the starting XI, having sat out the defeat at Molineux.

29-cap Germany international, Antonio Rudiger, was also poor against Tottenham, and didn’t look comfortable against Wolves either. He remains a more reliable option than 22-year-old Andreas Christensen though, and his pace and mobility will be vital in stopping City’s attackers in a manner that the ageing Gary Cahill would not be able to replicate.

What do you think, Chelsea fans, who should Sarri elect to pair up at the heart of his rearguard on Saturday?
