HYS: Who should play up front for Manchester United on Sunday?

Manchester United make the short trip to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday for what could be a season-defining clash with Pep Guardiola’s reigning Premier League champions.

The Red Devils enjoyed a fine result in midweek, defeating Juventus by a 2-1 scoreline in Turin in a Champions League group stage fixture. However, Jose Mourinho’s side are still very much underdogs heading into this weekend’s derby.

Mourinho has plenty of selection dilemmas to negotiate as he considers how best to nullify and protect himself against the countless threats that the Cityzens pose. He must also find a way of threatening City themselves.

United will need their centre-forward to be at the top of his game, but Mourinho has a big call to make as to who that man is.

Despite both Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez being amongst the club’s biggest and highest-paid stars, Marcus Rashford ought to be the man leading the line on Sunday. The dreadful goalscoring form of the aforementioned pair ought to rule them out of starting such a big match, whilst the 21-year-old’s pace will give the home defence something to worry about.

What do you think, United fans – who should be your starting striker against City?
