In Focus: Chelsea, Arsenal, Man United and Spurs all interested in Kluivert

According to Talksport, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in the services of Ajax’s 18-year-old sensation, Justin Kluivert.

What’s the story?

Talksport is reporting that there is a Premier League battle in order to sign Ajax’s highly-rated striker, Justin Kluivert.

However, they cite an article by De Telegraaf, who report that Barcelona could compete with the aforementioned English clubs in a race to sign the Dutch youngster.

It is believed that the Catalan Giants are scouting the starlet with an eye to making a summer move.  Accordingly, it won’t be easy for the Premier League teams to sign Kluivert.

Who is Kluivert?

The 18-year-old is a talented winger, who can also operate as a striker for Ajax. He is the son of legendary Dutch player, Patrick Kluivert.

Kluivert – who is valued at £6.75m-rated by transfermarkt.com – made his debut for Ajax last season, having impressed for their reserve team, Jong Ajax, the season prior. In 41 games for the iconic Dutch club, the teenager has scored a commendable total of eight goals.

Additionally, he has attained international experience having represented his native Holland from U15 level, right through to the U21 category.

What will he bring?

The Dutchman is regarded as a contemporary winger who likes to dribble and flaunts a tendency to cut inside. The winger is highly proficient at dribbling, and he has developed a valuable ability to retain possession when required.

During his brief senior career, he has illustrated his ability to shoot the ball effectively from long-range. Some areas of his game require greater improvement, such as his defensive contribution. Nonetheless, there’s no doubting his quality.

While considering his age, it’s safe to say that the best is yet to come, and he would represent an excellent long-term investment for any of the Premier League teams that are interested in his services.
