The Premier League is well and truly back, and this Super Sunday sees Newcastle and Liverpool go head-to-head at St James' Park. Fans are expecting plenty of goals, as Jurgen Klopp's side go into the game off the back of a 6-1 thumping of Southampton in midweek, whilst Newcastle conceded five away to Palace last weekend.

Klopp appears to have turned around the awful form of Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers, and quite quickly too. Steve McClaren on the other hand appears to be quickly unravelling Newcastle's Premier League dreams, with their Champions League days a distant memory.

With the sack a real threat, a defeat to Liverpool at home this weekend could spark McClaren's final game at the club.

Lurking second bottom makes this fixture all the more juicy with the Reds in fine form. Ahead of the game, we asked you for your Combined XI predictions, and here is what you said....

GK: Simon Mignolet

The Belgium stopper was the first name on the team sheet for you guys. Although he has come under fire (even from his gaffer), you went for him ahead of Newcastle's Elliott. Good shout lads...

Nathaniel Clyne

There was only really one candidate for this. Clyne has enjoyed a fantastic season for Liverpool after the move from Southampton and is an integral part of Jurgen Klopp's plans moving forward.

Martin Skrtel

The man from Slovakia has been at the club since 2008, and has been pretty unshakeable since. His performance last weekend was outstanding and he was an obvious choice at the back.

Fabricio Coloccini

Coloccini is probably the reason that this season has not been a 'complete' disaster for the Toon. A proper old-school defender, this guy would be perfect alongside Skrtel.

Alberto Moreno

This Spanish star was on the scoresheet against Southampton, and goals are a regular part of his game. Although defence is what counts, this guy has that bit extra going forward.

Jordon Ibe

This wonderkid has taken Liverpool by storm this year. Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the youngster, and despite only being 19, he's made it into your combined XI...

Adam Lallana

The former Southampton star has turned over a new leaf this year and looks really dangerous. You guys sure are liking a lot of Liverpool lads in this team!

Ayoze Pérez

Linked with United, Tottenham and Liverpool themselves, this guy is the talk of the town up on Tyneside. Last season in particular, his pace and skill was frightening.

Moussa Sissoko

The next Newcastle star to join the lineup was Moussa Sissoko for you lot. The midfielder was part of the French revolution at the club, and is still standing strong as the midifielder general.

Christian Benteke

Benteke? Mmm yeah! The beast from Belgium has been a real force so far this year, with his goal at Stamford Bridge impressing many. He made it straight into your combined XI.

Roberto Firmino

This guy has been an absolute superstar for Liverpool. Not only does he score important goals, but he adds a level of skill has that been missing since Suarez's departure. You chose him over Wijnaldum, good call!
