Italian giants target Tottenham and Newcastle stars

Tottenham and Newcastle are facing a fight to hang on to key players this summer, with Italian giants Fiorentina planning a raid on both Premier League clubs, according to talkSPORT.

The Serie A giants are hoping they can lure Tottenham centre back Younes Kaboul to Florence, whilst Toon full back Davide Santon is also in their sights.

Kaboul is out of contract at White Hart Lane at the end of the season, and had previously been linked with a move to north London rivals Arsenal.

Santon meanwhile has already attracted interest from Italian clubs, with AC Milan reportedly keen on the full back who can play on either side of defence.

Sources in Italy claim Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella is a big admirer of the 23-year-old, with the club having already sounded Newcastle out over the possibility of a move.

Newcastle are yet to respond to the approach, but may be willing to do business in order to fund Alan Pardew’s own rebuilding programme, with the Magpies boss claiming the signing of two strikers is seen as the priority for the summer.
