Vincent Janssen’s performances for Spurs this season have seen last season’s Eredivisie top scorer stand amongst the leaders contenders for the highly prestigious, and completely unofficial, worst new signing award.
In Harry Kane’s absence, Janssen has struggled to make an impact with the Lilywhites, who have not scored from open play in four Premier League matches and have won just one of their last eight matches in all competitions.
Called up by the Netherlands for the international break, Janssen would have hoped to find an escape from his woeful domestic displays. Unfortunately, they seemed to have followed him to the international stage.

Alongside striker partner Bas Dost, the Dutch duo touched the ball just one inside Belgium’s box, had zero shots and created zero chances.
Spurs fans will be unimpressed but not surprise by the displays of the striker, who’s now in real danger of following the well-treaded route of poor signings by the North London side, putting his name amongst the illustrious Roberto Soldado and co.
