Leeds United Under-23s moved eight points clear at the top of the northern section of the PDL with a 4-0 win over Charlton Athletic Under-23s on Monday night.
Eighteen-year-old Jack Clarke started for the Whites as he appeared for the first time since falling ill at Middlesbrough on February 9.
However, it was the performance of Polish teenager Mateusz Bogusz which seemed to capture the attention of the supporters.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Bogusz was ‘at the heart of everything positive’ for the Whites, who really do have a terrific Under-23 side.
And the Leeds fans now want to see the 17-year-old handed a first-team spot.
Bogusz, who can operate in a number of different midfield positions, only arrived at Elland Road from Ruch Chorzow in January, but has already made a strong impression.
It would be some call from head coach Marcelo Bielsa to throw the teenager in at this stage of the campaign, but that is what some fans want to happen.
