According to Football Insider, Leeds are battling fellow Championship clubs Bolton and Blackburn for the loan signature of Derby striker Cameron Jerome, but fans of the Whites on Twitter were confused as to why their club were in for him.

Leeds have started this season brilliantly under new boss Marcelo Bielsa and Kemar Roofe has been on fire, constantly hounding defenders and keeping new signing Patrick Bamford out of the team. Roofe also netted two in the 4-1 win over Derby and another in the victory over Yorkshire rivals Rotherham last Saturday.

Bamford did however have a chance to prove his quality in the League Cup, and the 24-year-old opened his account for his new side in style with a nutmeg followed by a low finish into the bottom corner to put Leeds ahead.

Jerome has been somewhat of a specialist at Championship level over his career and signed for Derby in January this year, scoring six goals to help the Rams reach the playoffs, where they lost their semi-final to eventual winners Fulham.

At 32 years old though and with Bamford and Roofe firing, Leeds fans on Twitter weren't sure where Jerome would fit in their squad. Take a look at some of the best tweets below.
