Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson was an unused substitute as Sweden secured qualification for the 2018 World Cup with a goalless draw against Italy at the San Siro on Monday night – going through 1-0 on aggregate – and Whites fans are hoping it proves to be a boost for the out of form star. The 26-year-old was a colossus at the back for the Yorkshire outfit last term as he turned his loan move from Torino into a permanent one, but the centre-back appears to have lost his way this term.He started the matches against Bristol City and Sheffield United last month from the substitutes' bench and probably only took his place in the side against Derby County and Brentford since because Liam Cooper was absent against the Rams and Matthew Pennington missed out against the Bees.Leeds supporters were quick to have their say on Jansson via social media, and while one said 'if he needed any more motivation this should be it', while another said "hope this will cheer the sulky sod up".Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction...
