According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, Barnsley are interested in signing Leeds United defender Tom Pearce before this summer's transfer window slams shut.

Pearce, who spent the second half of last term on loan at Scunthorpe United, signed a new four-year contract with the Whites last summer, but he has not been involved in the club's preparations for the new season.
