Leeds United are close to signing highly-rated Bury teenager Morgan Sadler after beating a number of Premier League clubs to his signature, according to The Yorkshire Evening Post.

What's the story?

The 15-year-old defender has impressed for Bury's U18 side and has attracted interest from top clubs including Fulham according to Football Insider.

The centre-back was a part of the Manchester City setup after they spotted the young talent at the age of 13, but he moved to Gigg Lane shortly afterwards.

Now Leeds are reportedly in talks with the young talent as they look to strengthen their famous academy that has produced the likes of Danny Rose, Lewis Cook, James Milner and Ronaldo Vieira.

One for the future

Leeds fans shouldn't expect to see Sadler in action for the first-team at any time soon but judging by the interest in the 15-year-old, it should be worth the wait.

With the apparent progress the club is making at the moment with their new brand of exciting and attacking football under a manager with vision for the club, it's good to see the club are still looking towards the future.
