Another week has come and gone, and once again Tyler Roberts is injured.

In a twist that absolutely everyone saw coming, Marcelo Bielsa confirmed that the Welshman had picked up a calf problem against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, and as always, Phil Hay was the man to relay that statement on social media.

It’s so frustrating to see Roberts sidelined again - it feels like he’s unable to make real strides in his career.

The 20-year-old has previously been touted as the next Samu Saiz, but he’s yet to live up to that billing, and that’s down to the number of injury issues he’s suffered this term.

He’s missed the matchday squad on 15 occasions, but when he has played he’s been excellent in spells - particularly when he scored against QPR and came off the bench to drive the side forward against Birmingham.

He drew a lot of praise from fans for his performance against the Rs earlier this season, but he’s since been unable to build on that.

Understandably, this sparked something of a reaction from the fanbase who weren’t too happy with this latest update.

The supporters were seemingly pretty sick of Roberts’ injury proneness.

Others believe that this is the last straw with Roberts as they called for him to leave the club this summer.

It may be harsh, but if he can’t prove that he can stay fit for a sustained period of time this may be Leeds’ best course of action. It’s pointless spending wages week after week on a player who is unavailable the majority of the time.
