Leeds United are looking to make a move for Tottenham Hotspur starlet Juan Foyth before the end of the month, The Birmingham Mail reports.

Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds have steamrolled every opposition they have faced so far in the Championship but the Peacocks are aware that a long and gruelling campaign lies ahead, which has left the club eyeing further recruits in August.

Leeds have until August 31st to complete loan signings and have turned their attention towards the Premier League, as The Birmingham Mail state in their live blog (20/08) that a move is being weighed-up for Tottenham starlet Juan Foyth.

The 20-year-old moved to North London in 2017 for a fee reported to be in the region of £8m, per the BBC, but has yet to make a Premier League appearance for Mauricio Pochettino's side and could be allowed to leave on loan in search of first-team football.

Would he be good?

Capped 12 times for Argentina's U20 side, Foyth is an exciting young centre-back who is capable of dominating in the air due to his giant 6ft 3in frame and earned a taste of first-team football for Spurs in cup competitions last season.

Foyth played five times in the FA Cup, including in the 6-1 hammering of Rochdale, and also featured in the Carabao Cup games against Barnsley and West Ham, with the Lilywhites losing the latter to their London rivals, and also appeared once in the Champions League against APOEL.

He is now seeking regular first-team action that he cannot be provided by Pochettino and a move to Elland Road could be perfect for all parties, as Bielsa could bring the best out of the young South American talent in 2018-19.

He would not be guaranteed a starting spot at Leeds due to the defensive options Bielsa has, which has already seen World Cup defender Pontus Jansson struggle to get into the team, but he would certainly compete for opportunities.
