According to The Mirror, Leeds United are interested in bringing Bristol City left-back Joe Bryan to Elland Road in this summer's transfer window.

What's the story?

Bristol City will do very well to keep hold of Bryan this summer when considering his performances over the last few seasons.

The 24-year-old scored seven times in 48 appearances for Bristol City in all competitions last term - including a goal against Manchester United in the EFL Cup.

Middlesbrough are amongst the clubs believed to be interested in the defender, although a number of Premier League sides are also said to be considering a move.

According to The Mirror, Leeds are also very much in the hunt, but it is being reported that the Whites are yet to make an official bid.

Bryan looked at home against Man United in the EFL Cup last season, and managed five Championship goals during a very impressive 2017-18 campaign.

Could Leeds bring him to Elland Road?

There is no question that it has been a frustrating transfer window for the Leeds fans, who were promised big things when Marcelo Bielsa arrived as head coach.

There is absolutely no question that Bielsa is a big pull when it comes to signing new players, but no permanent deals have been secured this summer.

The loan arrivals of Lewis Baker and Jamal Blackman from Chelsea will certainly boost the squad, but the Whites still need a lot more heading into the new season.

A deal for Derby County forward Matej Vydra has gone cold, but Leeds were said to be prepared to pay £11m for the Czech, which suggests that the funds are there.

Bryan would be a wonderful signing for Leeds if they could pull it off, and Bielsa should be looking to sanction a bid for the exciting defender as soon as possible.
