Leicester aren’t showing any signs of going away in the race for the title, and could further strengthen their credentials with victory over an equally impressive Stoke City this weekend.
Claudio Ranieri has turned the Foxes in to real challengers this term, despite them being hot favourites for the drop before a ball was even kicked back in August.
Instead, Leicester are joint top of the Premier League after 22 games having lost just twice. Their home defeat to Tottenham earlier in the week may have been an alarming blip, though, and Ranieri will be expecting his side to bounce back immediately.
Mark Hughes’ Stoke side have been just as impressive this term, which is reflected by their seventh place spot and run of three wins in their last five Premier League outings.
A win for Stoke this weekend could see them leapfrog West Ham in to sixth, if the Hammers fail to beat Man City, and would solidify their potential of finishing in the Europa League places for the first time in their history – their highest ever Premier League finish is 9th.
