All eyes were on the KC Stadium this afternoon as Hull City, on theur return to the Premier League, played hosts to champions, Leicester City.
The title defence did not go as planned for Claudio Ranieri and his side as they fell to a 2-1 defeat to a cobbled together Hull side, with just 13 fit senior players to choose from.
The Tigers took the lead in the final minutes of the first half as Adama Diomande showed some spectacular acrobatics to put his side ahead.
The champions fought back just seconds into the second half as Demarai Gray won a penalty, which was converted by last season’s hero Riyad Mahrez.
It didn’t last long though, as in the 57th minute Robert Snodgrass popped up with this superb volley to give Mike Phelan’s side the lead.

Despite a few scares late on the Tigers held firm and claimed a huge scalp in what looks to be a very tough season ahead.
