Per quotes on the Leicestershire Live website, Brendan Rodgers has plans to keep his squad together this summer as he lays hints that it could be a quiet window in terms of outgoings.
Since Rodgers walked through the doors at the King Power there has been an overwhelming feeling of positivity.
This was in stark contrast to the days of Claude Puel who had installed a rather negative style of play. On some occasions, he even kept star men like Wilfred Ndidi and Jamie Vardy out of the team.
Rodgers has now had ten games to assess the squad going into what will be his first transfer window in charge of the Foxes and it looks as though he’s been impressed with what he’s seen.
Per quotes on Leicestershire Live, he made hints that it could be a quiet summer at the King Power. He said:
“There won’t be wholesale changes. There will obviously be players who need to go out to go and play and players the club need to sell and move on, but each year you want to improve.
“Our plan is to keep the players we have and then add some more quality.”
Early this week Manchester City were the subject of a report from The Metro suggesting they were after Harry Maguire.
The defender has been one of Leicester’s most sought after players for a while now so that news will likely come as a concern for Foxes fans, especially with City likely to chase hard for Vincent Kompany’s replacement.
However, Rodgers’ comments should come as a relief to supporters. With the Northern Irishman confirming that there’s a plan in place to keep the current squad together, they should be able to take comfort that it’s unlikely Maguire will leave.
Couple that with the fact the Foxes have slapped a £75m price tag on the player, and it makes it even more unlikely that he’ll depart this summer.

Leicester have a number of promising players coming through at the moment which includes Ben Chilwell, another man to have taken City’s interest. Despite that, it looks as though the club have no plans to sell.
Rodgers’ comments speak volumes about the ambition of the club and should they keep their best players whilst finding added quality from elsewhere, a Europa League spot could be on the cards in the near future.
