Leicester operated with a second-string team against Brentford on Saturday as they made nine changes, and although the Championship side may sit handsomely in the play-off places, they had no answer for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
That is probably unsurprising given the Foxes’ quality, best demonstrated early on by Dennis Praet’s mesmerising defence-splitting pass, which provided James Justin with the space to cross for Kelechi Iheanacho’s goal, which proved to be the winner.
When Leicester can call upon such quality like Praet it makes life very difficult for opponents, and the Belgian will be hoping to feature more regularly than he has done in the season so far, with just 14 starts to his name.
However, with the Midlands team progressing in another cup competition – with the League Cup semi-final to follow this week – the midfielder could get more game time soon, and that would likely please a lot of fans who were quick to praise him after the game.
Clearly know nothing about football he was very poor today, Fuchs, Praet and Kelechi were the stars today

Under rated Praet. Quality player

I’ve been up most of the night thinking about Dennis Praet’s pass, how about you? 🙂🤤 #LCFC

Many are choosing to praise his pass but the fact that his general play is attracting plaudits says a lot about what he offers this Leicester side.
Having such quality amongst their back-up options is important, namely because it reduces the pressure on James Maddison and Youri Tielemans to perform to such a high standard week in week out.
@dennispraet This man has some class about him. Versatile and classy. A very important player for us #lcfc

Praet was incredibly composed on the ball all day. Relieved high press by Brentford with footballing skill, provided excellent link up play down the left with Fuchs and Albrighton, and what a pass to lead to the Kelechi goal. 10/10. https://t.co/mzO6kQ3CNg

Despite the praise he received, there was also one fan who didn’t rate his display, saying he offers absolutely nothing – that was rather harsh given the way he assisted the goal.
Albrighton & Gray showing why they never play
Aside from that key pass for our goal, Praet offers nothing
And Perez woeful, but then again he’s had his one great game for the month, gotta wait until Feb for his next one

Meanwhile, another Leicester midfielder has impressed recently and made a strong claim to earn a first-team place.
