Kelechi Iheanacho was a striker who looked like one of the best up and coming players in the Premier League a few years ago.

At Manchester City he'd regularly find the net from the bench, but since completing a mega £25m move to Leicester, he's had a torrid time in the Midlands.

With Shinji Okazaki leaving, now may be the perfect time for him to kick on and prove his worth. However, Leicester fans don't appear to be in favour of him playing.

Reacting to a thread on Twitter which revealed why the Nigerian could play alongside Jamie Vardy next season, supporters of the Foxes ripped into the forward.

One fan suggested he was a flop, claiming they'd rather Islam Slimani leading the line. Another urged the club to get rid of him.

A further supporter said that the possibility of Iheanacho playing wasn't inspiring them.

The 22-year-old, who is rated at £13.5m according to Transfermarkt, only scored once all season so the reaction is completely understandable.

Per WhoScored, Iheanacho started just nine times in 2018/19, appearing on 21 occasions as a substitute.

Here's the best of the debate.
