This is the story that keeps on giving.
And sadly it’s doing nothing to help the reputation of one of Leicester’s most renowned players of the past couple of years.
Riyad Mahrez has been speaking to France Football, and he’s had some incredibly negative things to say about his time at the Foxes, despite the fact the managed to win the Premier League there and was named PFA Player of the Year along the way.
Now it has emerged that he didn’t feel Leicester City prepared correctly to take on the Champions League during the 2016/17 season, although he did also say that his performances weren’t the greatest either, so at least he’s not completely blaming everyone else.
That didn’t seem to cut it with the Leicester City faithful as they continued their all-out assault on the Algerian, and made it crystal clear that he has well and truly burned the bridges when it comes to their relationship.
We didn’t do that bad for a first outing. Mahrez is really tarnishing any cred he had left with his recent rants. Maybe if he put some effort in in his final season we may have done better

Is he on a mission to undo everything with us?

Obviously feeling threatened by us 💙🦊

Just do what your doing now mate and keep that bench warm.

And that’s why it was so magic 💙 he’ll be getting rightly booed when they come over here. IF he’s in the squad that is….

Well… Mahrez is certainly showing himself up isn’t he… 🤷🏻♂️👎🏻 #LCFC

He really needs to stop talking now. I can’t see him being greeted with anything but boos the next time he returns to the King Power.

In fairness, the Foxes should be cut a little bit of slack in the circumstances, it was their first time in the Champions League so it’s impossible for them to know right away what the best practices are.
