Leicester City fans have taken to Twitter to express their anger at their in-form midfielder James Maddison, after the Englishman’s dive against Brighton resulted in him receiving a second yellow card.
The Foxes were trailing 1-0 to the Seagulls when the former Norwich man fell to the ground inside the penalty box under no contact, which saw him receive his marching orders and put his side’s chances of a result in danger.
The former Premier League champions did in fact manage to wrestle a point off the home side with a late penalty, but that didn’t stop fans voicing their disapproval at the 22-year-old’s play acting.
Playmaker FC’s Matchday with Max caught up with Jamaica’s women’s team. See what happened when he met the history makers in the video below…
His dive follows a number of Premier League stars who have been guilty of attempting to con the referee, and is a main reason as to why England’s top-flight will be implementing VAR from the start of next season.
Let’s take a look at how Leicester fans responded to their player’s cheating…
James Maddison what are you doing. Silly dive has cost us any hope of a result here pic.twitter.com/I7odEpKKYn
