There have been a fair few surprises over the course of the opening month or so of the Premier League campaign. From Chelsea’s woeful start to West Ham winning at the Emirates Stadium and Anfield, it’s been hard to predict what is going to happen on a weekly basis.
But perhaps the biggest shock has been the rise of Riyad Mahrez. Always a talented winger, the Algerian has really kicked on since the start of 2015/16, with his four goals in the opening four games as impressive as they were surprising.
Reports claimed that Arsenal wanted to make a late move for the wide-man before the deadline passed, and he’s once again proved today just why Arsene Wenger was keen to get him on board.

Running towards the Aston Villa box, Mahrez pulled off a lovely turn, sitting THREE Villans defenders on their rear ends. Tekkers!
