Premier League surprise package Leicester City are set to land a major transfer coup by landing Birmingham City teenager Demarai Gray, according to the Daily Star.
The 19-year old has previously been linked to the likes of Southampton, Bournemouth and Tottenham though reports now suggest the Foxes have stolen a march on their rivals.
The Daily Mirror suggest the speedy teenager winger has agreed a switch to the King Power Stadium this January, with the two clubs expected to open talks in order to tie up the deal.
It is understood that the England under-20 international for £3.75m due to an exit clause inserted into the three-year deal he signed in July.
Since making his first-team debut in 2013, the speedster has become one of the hottest properties playing outside of the top tier.
Blues boss Gary Rowett has conceded that the cash Gray’s sale would generate could help the St. Andrew’s outfit push for promotion.
‘I see it as a win-win for everybody and I think that’s how well have to view it’, boasted the Birmingham boss.
‘It would give us some money to go and build a little bit again.’
