Going into the transfer window it seems like a clear area of priority for Leicester is in a wide position.
However, the latest winger to be linked with a potential switch is Andros Townsend. That’s according to The Mirror who claim any deal could cost the Foxes £14m.
Taking to Twitter to discuss the potential move, Leicester fans were divided on their opinions of the 27-year-old.
Some supporters took to the idea of signing Townsend, as one individual suggested he was quality. Another claimed that he was an improvement on Demarai Gray and Rachid Ghezzal.
However, other members of the King Power faithful were less impressed with the news. One suggested the club could do much better than the Palace man, whilst a further supporter said he was only half decent.
Townsend scored nine goals in all competitions last season, including a thumping long range volley against Manchester City in December.
The former England international also picked up four assists.
Here’s the best of the discussion.
I would definitely take him he his quality

Townsend would have been great as a 16/17 squad player as we embarked on the CL and cost £10m but he isn’t better than Albrighton, is inconsistent and I think we could do so much better, how about going for Shaqiri? #lcfc

Unsure on Townsend, we’ve been linked with him forever, don’t get me wrong he’s better than the wingers we’ve got, but he alone isn’t gonna resolve our goal threat crisis, we need another top class striker as well as him to be lethal up front, think we can do better tbh #LCFC

If we want to try and finish 7th and above and break the mould, we need a better squad and not just a starting XI. Townsend fits that as he is an improvement on Gray and Ghezzal and is probably more consistent than Barnes. #lcfc

Absoutely! Better than what we have in that out and out winger position by far, Barnes still learning

Half decent, but a bit hit and miss. A step up from Gray and Ghezzal, however.
