Manchester City ace Micah Richards, on loan at Fiorentina, is set to reject a move back to the Premier League and make the switch to Serie A giants Inter Milan instead, according to reports from the Daily Star.
Richards made the move to Italy after finding it difficult to break into the City first-team, and now with his contract expiring this summer is keen on finding a future away from the Etihad.
However the former England international was unsure of a move after already playing for the Citizens in the Community Shield earlier this season, as FIFA limits players to only two clubs per campaign.
But Inter are set to go against these regulations by claiming that the Community Shield is not a competitive fixture, which could allow the right-back to join the San Siro side.
If the 26-year-old does move to Inter, he will once again be working with Roberto Mancini – the Italian the manager that led Richards and City to their first Premier League title.
The transfer will come as a blow for Liverpool and Chelsea, who were both previously linked with Richards.
