Liverpool and Man United are ready to do battle for out-of-favour AC Milan forward Stephan El Shaarawy, according to Metro.
The Serie A giants are preparing a complete squad overhaul this January and have put the Italy international on the market for a cut-price £11.5million.
Liverpool and Man United have both been linked with the 22-year-old in recent seasons and are thought to be tempted by AC Milan’s low asking price.
El Shaarawy’s agent Manuel El Shaarawy recently claimed he would only leave the San Siro outfit for a ‘sensational’ fee, but latest developments suggest Milan are prepared to listen to offers for the highly-rated youngster.
The forward has netted just once in 13 first-team appearances so far this season.
