Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur target Asmir Begovic has revealed that he is keen on staying at Stoke City, but would consider a move to a major club, Mirror reports.
The 27-year-old has little over a year left on his current deal and despite talks being put on hold until the summer, he is not yet keen on an exit.
He has been on the transfer radar of a number of top European sides, with Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Inter Milan also said to be interested in his services over the course of the campaign.
However, the goalkeeper admitted that he is currently happy to be part of the Stoke setup ever since his arrival five years ago, but may be forced to move if he is to pick up silverware.
“Every individual wants to play at the highest level possible. You want to challenge yourself,” he said.
“We all want to play for trophies and play in the biggest games around. I’m no different.”
Begovic is believed to be rated by the club at around £14million, and given that his side are on the way to finishing the campaign in the top 10, he is hoping they can improve even more.
“The manager has taken the team to a higher level again and hopefully if we do the right things in the summer we can do it again next year,” he added.
