Liverpool & Arsenal told to forget about summer target

Arsenal and Liverpool have been dealt a big transfer blow ahead of the summer window, with Real Madrid’s Keylor Navas not looking for a move, according to his father.

The Costa Rican stopper rose to prominence during last summer’s World Cup, turning in a number of impressive showings as the Central Americans ran all the way to the quarter-finals – after advancing from England’s group.

Those performances helped earn the goalie a move from Levante to Real, but his spell in Madrid has been a difficult one so far due to the presence of Iker Casillas.

As a result, rumours of a move away from the Bernabeu at the end of the season have been doing the rounds, with Liverpool and Arsenal two sides thought to be keen.

However, their chances of landing Navas appear bleak, with the player’s dad having revealed that his son is content at Real:

“Keylor told me he is not leaving Real Madrid. He is very happy,” he is quoted by The Metro.
