It’s been a very successful season for Liverpool so far, with Jurgen Klopp’s side storming to the top of the Premier League at the weekend after hitting Watford for six.
The Reds have been rampant in front of goal, scoring 40 in 14 matches across all competitions, which is their best tally at this stage since 1895, when the Reds scored 48 at this stage.

Remarkably, it means Liverpool’s form in front of goal is the best for over 100 years- better than the treble winning side of 2001, the historic teams led by Alf Ramsey and numerous European Cup winning outfits.
It’s put Liverpool with their best-ever chance of ending a long 26-year wait for a league title, benefitting from the likes of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho all enjoying a blistering run of form.
Liverpool’s title credentials now face a stern test after the international break as they face Southampton, West Ham, Everton and Manchester City before the New Year.
