Liverpool & Chelsea target ready for January move

Evian midfielder Daniel Wass has revealed that he is ready to make a big January transfer amid interest from Liverpool and Chelsea.

The Dane has made an excellent start to the Ligue 1 season, notching four goals and one assist for his current side.

This has led to talk of interest from Chelsea and Liverpool, with the latter understood to be very keen.

The Reds tracked the versatile ace over the summer but opted against making a move, yet Brendan Rodgers is thought to be once again eager.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is also a fan after scouting the 25-year-old during his spell as a youngster at Benfica.

Wass says that, although happy at Evian, he owes it to himself to consider good offers this winter:

“My head is still in Evian but if you offer me a departure in January, I will not say no.” he is quoted by The Express.

“I want to progress and prove my abilities at a higher level.

“But a club has to be interested to meet the requirements that Evian have.”

Wass is comfortable on either flank as a winger or full-back and has also been used by Evian in a central midfield role.
