The Premier League trio are all monitoring the Argentine, who is believed to be free to leave the Bernabeu this summer for the right price.
With the Spanish giants said to be pursuing Gareth Bale and Luis Suarez, it’s likely that a few big-name players will be moved on in order to free up space and raise funds, and Di Maria is said to be one they are willing to part company with.
This has alerted City, United and Liverpool, who could test Real’s stance with bids in the coming months.
The Citizenss are thought to be leading the race, with Manuel Pellegrini – who is expected to be named as Roberto Mancini’s successor soon – said to be willing to spend £30million on the 25-year-old.
United may oppose their rivals, and have been linked with moves for Di Maria on several occasions during the course of the past few years.
Meanwhile Liverpool could also swoop, with manager Brendan Rodgers keen to draft in attacking reinforcements.
Real are unlikely to make a decision on the wide-man’s future until they name their new manager.
