Football loves extremes. However, fast forward a few months, and the Reds are now top four challengers again, Steven Gerrard is back to being one of the best midfielders the Premier League ever did see and Brendan Rodgers is the right man for the Merseyside club.
Liverpool’s form has been very impressive of late, and continued last night as they overcame fellow in form side Tottenham Hotspur in an entertaining 3-2 win.
The win was full of positives for Brendan Rodgers’ team, with Mario Balotelli bagging his first Premier League goal since his summer move as well as closing the gap to third place Southampton to just three points – well, until the Saints play tonight.
