The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with an £8million switch to the Emirates, although talk of a deal already being agreed is wide of the mark.
The Swiss striker did however admit it would be a ‘dream’ to make the move to north London.
“What will happen in the future, I don’t know. Any boy dreams about playing for Arsenal,” Drmic said.
However, the Gunners now look set to face a fight with their Premier League rivals, as well as Bundesliga duo Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Leverkusen, for the young forward’s signature.
Drmic is in demand after an excellent first season in the Bundesliga, where he has shown consistent performances as a second striker or out wide.
He has carried Nuremberg towards safety, firing 16 goals – just two goals less than the rest of his teammates combined.
He is rated as one of the most promising young stars in Germany, and recently struck his first international goals for Switzerland in their win over Croatia last month.
He looks all set to be Switzerland’s star man at the summer’s World Cup, where a good performance in the tournament may drive his price up further.
Reports suggest he will be available for around £8million, although the clubs will be looking to get the deal done quickly in order to avoid a bidding war.
