Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville… two fierce competitors from each side of English football’s most fierce rivalry. The former Liverpool and Manchester United defenders were arch-enemies during their playing days, but in the modern era they now work in tandem on Sky Sports to produce, arguably, the best level of punditry available. Their relationship is key in this, with, although they won’t want to admit it, their uncompromising personalities remarkably similar.
So what better way to announce FIFA 16’s brand new Ultimate Team improvements than by getting ‘Carra’ and ‘G-Nev’ together to share their wisdom and expertise?
FUT now operates with a Draft system, allowing players to build a team to take on opponents, with the strength determined by ability. In FIFA Ultimate Team Draft, fans can compete in single player or online in a single knockout string of four games to achieve rewards – the more games won, the better the reward to utilise in your FUT Club.
Once fans enter a Draft using virtual coins, FIFA Points, or a Draft Token, they will choose from one of five formations, then a captain, and then go on to fill out the rest of their 23-man squad by selecting a player from a choice of five in each position. Players will be tested as they toy with the blend of chemistry and talent to create a personalised team, and as Carragher and Neville show in the video below, it’s not always easy!
The legendary pair resorted to bickering as they mulled over formations, captains and key players, before competing with their assembled side. See what happened in the hilarious video below…
