Oh not again Simon Mignolet, you are running out of chances!
The goalkeeper’s job is essentially one of the most important positions on the field, and a world class team usually has a world class goalkeeper.
If Liverpool really want to be challenging the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City in the near future, then it may be time to replace Mignolet with a more reliable shot-stopper.
After a fairly good game vs Stoke City, fans had hope the Belgian can be composed and learn from his mishap against FC Ludogorets a week ago, but he didn’t.
Mignolet had the ball in possession and when put under a bit of pressure, passed it straight to Leicester City’s Esteban Cambiasso, who only had to hit an empty net.
Fortunately the Argentine missed, but the night got worse for Mignolet when Leonardo Ulloa hit a shot that bounced off the post… only for it to strike the 26-year-old in the back resulting in an own goal.
