After Ayoze Perez’s heroics against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, the young striker may well have felt a little hard done by to find himself on the bench again for Newcastle United’s next Premier League fixture.
It didn’t take long for the 21-year-old to get on at St James’ Park, though, with Alan Pardew making a half-time substituion taking Papiss Cisse off and bringing on the young Spanish striker.
Pardew pulled off a managerial masterstroke with Perez giving his Magpies side the lead against Brendan Rodgers’ outfit, a lead in truth that they probably deserved.
Perez will certainly be thanking Reds defender Alberto Moreno for his assitance in the goal, with Liverpool’s summer signing failing to deal with the ball in the box which saw the former Tenerife striker pounce and fire pass Simon Mignolet.
With two in two for Perez, now, he will certainly be hoping for a start in the Magpies next Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion.

1-0 to #nufc. Pardew sub pays off. Ayoze Perez (on for Cisse) pounces after poor defending by Moreno

Worried about Perez and what Ca$hley is thinking. At least we will have him until the transfer window…
