Liverpool shellshocked as West Ham fly out of the blocks

I don’t think even the most optimistic of West Ham fans would’ve predicted such a superb opening ten minutes against Premier League rivals Liverpool.

With less than two minutes on the clock, Winston Reid captialised on the some poor Liverpool defending – surprise, surprise – to give Sam Allardyce’s side an unexpected lead.

The roof was lifted off of Upton Park again, just moments later when Diafra Sakho found the back of the net to bag his second Premier League goal of the season.

Liverpool are yet to get a foothold on the game and that will no doubt worry their gaffer Brendan Rodgers.

Can last season’s runner-up overcome their nervy start and salvage a point or three?
