Liverpool transfer target has a moment to forget

Liverpool are on the lookout for, well, basically a whole new starting XI following Brendan Rodgers’ inability to spend the hefty transfer fee received from Barcelona for Luis Suarez, correctly.

The Reds’ troubles reached new levels of desperation when the former Swansea City gaffer felt his side stood a better chance of getting something from their clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford with Brad Jones as the man between the sticks.

Simon Mignolet started life on Anfield well, following his move from Sunderland, however, the Belgium international has been on the decline and most certainly wouldn’t have been helped with a shaky and error-prone back four in front of him.

After missing out on Alex McCarthy to Queens Park Rangers in the summer, a new ‘keeper is a priority in January for Rodgers, however, I doubt Fiorentina’s Neto will remain an option after this blooper!
