If you are going to win a derby then do it in style and Steven Gerrard inspired Liverpool to arguably their most comfortable win in years that saw the Reds complete a league double over their fierce rivals. The win brought welcome relief to Kenny Dalglish, who has challenged his players and his strike force in particular to follow the lead of the club captain in being more clinical in front of goal that has arguably been the real problem for the Reds this season so far.
