£32m star lambasted on Twitter for lumbering Liverpool display

Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to lambast lumbering striker Christian Benteke for his largely ineffective first half display against West Ham United.

The £32m summer arrival from Aston Villa has scored the winners in the last two of his games against Leicester City and Sunderland, though has failed to truly convince he fits the Reds’ ethos.

The towering Belgian striker has not been involved in much of the game so far, totally miskicking a chance created for him inside the penalty box.

He miscued his shot after Alberto Moreno had dragged the ball the back for him within relatively close range and watched his effort dribble wide, eliminating all danger to the Hammers’ goal.

In the absence of Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi, the Belgium international looks increasingly isolated leading the line for the Merseyside giants.

In fact, a cheeky fan has already predicted the 25-year old’s next move!
