According to reports from Calcio Mercato, attacking midfielder Alex Teixeira is looking to leave Jiangsu Suning.
The former Shakhtar Donetsk star only signed for Suning in January, becoming one of the first major names to complete a shock transfer to the Chinese Super League.
But the £38million acquisition has already seemingly grown tired of Chinese football, with Calcio Mercato claiming his services have been offered to Inter Milan.
And The Telegraph speculate in their live transfer blog that long-term admirers Liverpool could revive their interest in the 26-year-old following Calcio Mercato’s report.
The Reds were incredibly close to signing the Brazilian during the January window, until he agreed an unexpected move to Jiangsu instead, after the Reds refused to meet Shakhtar’s £35million valuation.
Teixeira has since told close friends that he wanted to move to Anfield in January but was convinced otherwise by the huge financial incentives on offer in China.
