Plymouth Argyle secured a high-profile FA Cup third-round replay with Liverpool in the coming weeks after holding Jurgen Klopp's Premier League title chasers to a 0-0 draw at Anfield.

The Reds dominated the match but failed to make their pressure count in attacking areas, with poor decision making and a lack of creativity leaving Plymouth as one of just three sides to have stopped Liverpool from scoring at Anfield during the past year.

Liverpool now face another match added into their fixture schedule, taking their tally of remaining January games up to nine, and the month ahead could decide Liverpool's season as they face crunch tests in the league and both cup competitions.

For Plymouth, it was a day to remember and the team will have a smile on their faces ahead of their long journey back to the South Coast.

Here's the image that sum-up a game that didn't go down as a cup classic.

There wasn't too many clubs that would have handed Plymouth a longer journey in the FA Cup third round but the fans took to Merseyside in their abundance, taking more fans to Anfield than they average for their home games in League Two.

Divock Origi thought he'd found the breakthrough in the first-half, which would have potentially been a decided moment in the game, but the Belgian striker saw his effort chalked off. Replays showed it was the correct decision.

Jurgen Klopp called for his big guns in the second-half and Daniel Sturridge was brought on to create havoc. Whilst Plymouth initially struggled to keep the English striker at bay, with Sturridge hitting the netting with a decent effort, it didn't prove to be a match-winning change.

Gary Miller stretchered off

Gary Miller received a standing ovation from fifty-thousand at Anfield but it won't be how the Plymouth man dreamt it last night, as he was hauled off on a stretcher wearing an oxygen mask. Hopefully his injury as serious as it first looked and Plymouth will have him back available soon.
