Ace plays down Liverpool exit talk

Luis Suarez (Liverpool)Luis Suarez has distanced himself from rumours of a January move away from Liverpool, and insisted that he is enjoying life in the Premier League, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Uruguayan striker openly chased a transfer away from Anfield over the summer, and was strongly linked with both Real Madrid and Arsenal.

But, the Reds held firm to keep him on Merseyside, despite numerous offer from the Gunners – including a cheeky £40m plus £1 attempt.

Suarez has since returned to Liverpool’s first-team after a 10-match ban, and has reignited his reputation as one of English football’s very best attacking talents with six goals in as many outings.

But, speculation of a move away from the club in the New Year has refused to go away, with Real Madrid said to be readying a big offer.

However, when asked about a bid from the Spaniards, Suarez replied: “Absolutely nothing at all.”

The South American went on to say that he is happy at Liverpool and in England, despite previously having complained about a lack of Champions League football and media treatment.

“In the team we are all really excited, looking forward and looking forward to a good season,” he added.

“The Premier League is the best league there is. The stadiums, the atmosphere and the fans make football here so entertaining.”
