Luis Suarez has been described as “extraordinary” by Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone, who has been linked with a summer bid for him.
The Argentinian tactician is still looking to secure third spot in La Liga which would secure an immediate path into next season’s Champions League.
And, while he was not willing to discuss any possible transfer plans ahead of the summer, Simeone spoke highly about Liverpool’s controversial striker, Suarez, who is currently serving a 10-match ban for biting the arm of Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.
“I could not say anything bad about Luis Suarez,” Simeone said. “He is extraordinary, but we have a game so we have to file away these other things for now.”
Current striker Radamel Falcao is being linked with a move away from the Vicente Calderon in the summer transfer window and it is being reported that Atletico will offer Liverpool £40million to take Suarez to the Spanish capital.
