Lots of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after Football Insider revealed that Sheyi Ojo has agreed terms with the club over a new five-year deal, but an announcement will be held off until he confirms a loan move for next season.
Now, this is a particularly strange one. Ojo has been on four separate loan moves away from Anfield, and failed to dazzle on his most recent venture away whilst with Reims in Ligue 1 – Ojo hit just one goal in 19 appearances last term for the French club.

At 21 years of age, Ojo is showing no signs of becoming a first-team player with the Reds and has never really set the world alight at any club he’s been on loan with, so the decision to offer him a new five-year contract seems a baffling one; the Champions League winners would surely be better off cashing in on him?
This is a sentiment that some of the Liverpool fans below agree with, with one supporter concerned that the club are becoming like Chelsea due to the amount of players they have out on loan.
Let’s take a look at what the Reds fans on Twitter have been saying…
He’s the new Dani Pacheco

let him just leave. we are on top of the world now and he isn’t good enough, same with kent. Wilson should get a chance though.

Feel like we’re becoming Chelsea with what we’re doing with Kent, Ojo and Wilson. Give them a chance or let them leave. Ojo would be beast at somewhere like Watford or Palace

Another loan move? At what point do we just give him an actual chance in the starting XI or just sell him.

Why’s everyone so shocked with this Loan system?? Chelsea have done it for years, perfectly normal, I’m sure by next year he’ll either be sold or kept

This has to be a joke surely?
