Loris Karius has had a whirlwind few months following the Champions League final with Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp put faith in the German shot-stopper in January due to Simon Mignolet’s constant struggles in between the sticks.
Karius was coping relatively well in the number one role until the showdown against Real Madrid in Kiev.
The keeper practically handed two goals to Los Blancos, which led to their 3-1 victory.
It swiftly became clear that Liverpool would be in the market for a new shot-stopper and they managed to seal the signature of Alisson from Roma.
As a result of the Brazilian’s arrival, Karius joined Besiktas on loan, and judging by recent comments from club president Fikret Orman, the German could stay for the long term.
According to Sky Sports News, Orman told Harberle:
“Karius is an excellent keeper, God willing we will sign him on a permanent transfer.”
Liverpool fans have been posting their thoughts on the comments via Reddit, and some only had nice things to say about Karius, despite the fact that he was public enemy number one a few months ago.
