Big Liverpool boost… Major target set to be made available in January

Borussia Monchengladbach are ready to cash in on star midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud in January amid interest from Liverpool, Juventus and Dortmund, according to reports from CalcioMercatoWeb.

The Syrian-born Germany U-21 international has emerged as one of the top youngsters in the Bundesliga over the course of the past few years and has already attracted serious interest from Anfield.

Indeed, it was claimed over the summer that Jurgen Klopp had made the 20-year-old a major target and despite the Reds missing out on his signature, there have since been suggestions that he remains a player the Kop chief wants ahead of the coming transfer windows.

And reports reveal that January could be the time to strike, with Gladbach ready to sell.

It’s understood the combination of a €10m (£8.5m) release clause that will come into effect at the end of the season (when his contract enters its final 12 months) and the player’s reluctance to sign a new deal at Stadion im Borussia-Park have led the BuLi club to seriously consider cashing in.
